For the ultimate yogi traveller, the expat living on the island, or anyone who is in need of a bit of ‘zen-time’, on the Gilis we have several yoga schools where you can practice different styles of yoga. Some schools even offer yoga teacher training. Every school has its own style, vibe, and teachers for a unique experience. Keep reading for our breakdown of the different yoga studios in Gili Trawangan and Gili Air.
Sunset Beach Yoga
Located on the north side of Gili Trawangan, Sunset Beach Yoga is a beautiful treehouse studio surrounded by nature with a million-dollar sea view. Perfect to combine your yoga session with a stunning Gili sunset.
Sunset Beach Yoga offers daily Vinyasa Flow at 8:30 am, Hatha Yoga at 10 am and Fly High Yoga (FHY) at 4:30 pm. FHY is a creative, playful, fun, modern style yoga with the usage of swings (see the picture below). This is the only school that offers aerial yoga and is a must-try. On Sundays, they only offer FHY.
No prior experience required and beginners are more than welcome. No reservations needed, you can drop-in island style. After getting your sweat on, you can indulge yourself in healthy fresh juices, smoothie bowls and coffee at ‘ReJuicedGili’.

Fly Gili Sup Yoga
Feel like trying something new and experiencing yoga on the water? Fly Gili Sup Yoga has got you covered. Start your yoga session right with the Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) during sunrise on your own stand-up paddleboard (SUP).
Sunrise SUP yoga starts daily from 6 am to 7:15 am. This includes a juice and photos as well. During your session, you will paddle out with the teacher to the buoy line where you tie your boards together and start the class with some breathing techniques and meditation. The next step is finding your balance on the board whilst practising some basic asanas like downward-facing dog and other standing yoga poses. Marki, the main teacher, will guide you through the early rise flow and ensure that everyone is challenged to their levels and needs.
If you rather prefer beach yoga, you can join the daily 8.30 am class on request for the afternoon.
